Jagriti Seva Sansthan works at the grassroots level to address the challenges faced by women in rural and border communities. We strive to uplift women by providing vocational training, financial literacy, and support for small-scale enterprises, enabling them to become self-reliant. In collaboration with organizations like Tata Trust, we run various programs aimed at improving women's access to economic resources and social support.
Health is a key pillar of our work, and we are deeply involved in improving the health outcomes of the communities we serve. Our flagship healthcare initiatives include:
Maternal and Child Health : Since 2009, we have partnered with Cairn India on the Janani Project, focusing on reproductive and child health. This initiative has addressed the needs of expecting mothers and newborns, offering essential medical services in underserved areas.
Training of ASHA Workers:In collaboration with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), we have trained Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) in the district to strengthen the local healthcare infrastructure and ensure effective delivery of healthcare services.
Children are at the heart of our initiatives, as we believe education is the foundation of a better future. Jagriti Seva Sansthan focuses on:
Access to Education: We work to improve educational access for children in rural and impoverished areas, particularly for girls. Our initiatives include building educational infrastructure, providing learning materials, and encouraging school enrollment through awareness campaigns.
We are committed to promoting environmental sustainability through our various programs:
Climate Awareness: We conduct awareness drives on the impact of climate change on rural livelihoods and provide education on sustainable practices.
Reforestation: With support from various allies, we participate in reforestation and tree plantation drives to enhance green cover in rural areas and mitigate the effects of deforestation.
